SALAD COMPETITION
Woke up and I was waiting for Tauhidah when she called and said she forgot to bring the broccoli, so I went to Shop & Save at Tmart to buy one. It costs 85 cents. After I paid, I walked into Kopitiam, cause in order to get out of Shop & Save, you need to go past Kopitiam. And immediately, a wave of nostalgia hit me.
I was reminded of Tapestry, of the times we had breakfasts, lunches together, mass MSN convos and of the unity.
So, Miss Nur and Mrs Lai were waiting in the eleven sitter van. Went to Lam Soon CC, which was at Chua Chu Kang. I think that Tauhidah and me did pretty well, I wasn’t really sure about Felicia’s and Xinrong’s salad. But it was good. Although, apparently, not good enough. Both the teams didn’t win. Geylang Methodist did. But hey, at least this will be included into our Sec 4 testimonial thing.
And while waiting for the results, the four of us played Scrabble. Oh and Mrs Lai left halfway(she kept asking the other team how was Hong Kong).
On the return journey, we were all bloody tired and I took the last three seater seats behind and i laid down and I slept, to replenish my energy for the Raffles Girls concert later. The van dropped all of us at school and we went home.
So, when I reached home, immediately showered cause it was already 2.45 pm and the meeting place is Raffles Place Mrt station at 4.30pm and I had no idea how long the MRT journey to Raffles Place would take. Ate a quick lunch and went out. It was raining.
But guess what, I was the second to reach there and I. First was Jonah whose first sentence to me was, “You look damn emo with that jacket and your eyeliner.” I expected a friendlier hello or at least the Step Up 2 handshake which we used to do when we met each other in school.
Next was Elizabeth who arrived at 4.30, then Yaozhi, Claire and Christine.
Jonah kept saying that he wanted to eat me. He was hungry, couldn’t blame him.
All of us walked to VCH. Met all the others. Got tickets from Joel and we missed the first two songs.
Sat at Row G, with Eric, Eugene and Elizabeth. Waaa, I only person whose name starts with S. SEEE. The guys behind us were being annoying dorks who not only were noisy but have brains the size of (insert name here)’s dick. They were like,
“That one is the pipa (points at liuqin people).
Thats the zhong ruan (points at pipa people)”
And the worst thing was, they stared at me. Just because a malay person is at a Chinese Ochestra concert, they stared. What the bloody hell is wrong with them? I mean, I may not be Chinese but at least I know how to identify the instruments correctly not like them dumbasses. And there were ang mohs there, why not stare at them, losers?
And I was complaining all this to Eric, who was playing my phone.
After the concert, Eric, Elly and me went to eat prata at food republic at Suntec city. Talked about lots of things like ultraman hoodies and the war memorial thing. We talked and talked and talked. Took MRT and talked, and talked, and talked. Eric alighted at Bedok, I think, where his parents were fetching him. And all the way until Tampines, Elly and me talked and talked and talked.
Took 69 home.
It was quite a good day.
